Science Technology Engineering Mathematics – STEM

STEM Vision Statement

North Geelong Secondary College is aiming to nurture curiosity in Science and Mathematics so we can build students who are independent, self-motivated and resilient learners that have a strong interest in STEM subjects; through the development of skills in reasoning, inquiry and problem solving.

STEM projects at NGSC

  • Robotics classes where student build and program their own robots
  • IT classes where students learn basic programming skills with Spheros
  • Various problem solving tasks through science classes
  • Year 10 Physics class to attend the Grand Prix to improve their engineering skills
  • Weekly lunch time activities where student explore STEM through hands on collaborative tasks and more.
