The enrolment process begins with parents completing the ‘Application for Placement’ form. This is given to each Grade 6 student from their primary school during the first semester. Parents can make informed decisions about secondary school enrolment preferences by visiting a variety of Information Nights/Open Days and making personal contact with schools of interest.
Each successful applicant will be sent the enrolment form that needs to be completed and returned to the secondary school. North Geelong Secondary College will then follow up by delivering a transition package containing more detailed information relevant for preparing students to start at their new school the following year. This includes the booklist and uniform information.
Orientation Day is held in December on a day that is set by the Victorian Government.
For families new to the area or who are not currently in the government school system the enrolment process can be completed by directly contacting North Geelong Secondary College.
