Welcome to Term 4! It’s been a positive and purposeful start to the term in the CONNECT Program, with students continuing to explore themes that build wellbeing, respect, and connection across our school community.

In preparation for Multicultural Day, students have been reflecting on the importance of diversity and inclusion, while planning their stalls for the celebration day. This has been a fantastic opportunity for students to share their culture, learn from others, and contribute to a whole-school celebration of belonging.

So far this term, CONNECT lessons have explored these key topics:

  • Mental Health – Students have learned practical strategies to care for their wellbeing and recognise when they, or others, might need support. These sessions encourage students to build resilience, understand their emotions, and develop positive coping strategies to manage challenges both inside and outside of school.
  • Active Bystander – Students will learn how to safely and confidently take action when they witness bullying, discrimination, or unfair treatment. The focus is on recognising when to speak up, offer support, or seek help from a trusted adult, helping to create a culture of respect and care within our school.
  • Respectful Relationships – This topic helps students understand what healthy and respectful relationships look like, including kindness, empathy, and effective communication. Students explore how their actions and words impact others, and how to build relationships that are positive and supportive.
  • Positivity and Mindfulness – In these sessions, students will practise strategies to focus on the present moment, manage stress, and maintain a positive mindset. Through simple mindfulness activities and reflections, they’ll learn how gratitude and self-awareness contribute to improved wellbeing and happiness.

The CONNECT program continues to provide students with a valuable space to reflect, grow, and strengthen their sense of connection — both within themselves and as part of our wider school community.
