With Term 3 nearing completion, it is time to say goodbye to our VCE-VM and non-scored Year 12 students as they complete their formal classes. Our VCE-VM students will return to the College for exit interviews with staff, providing an opportunity to reflect on their year of schooling, their experiences, and the knowledge and skills they have developed along the way.
Our scored VCE students are entering an important period as they prepare for their VCAA examinations. During the October holidays, students will complete compulsory practice examinations, providing valuable feedback to help them identify areas for further revision and preparation. At the beginning of Term 4, scored Year 12 students will return to school and participate in revision sessions within their timetabled classes until Celebration Day on 20 October. Following this, students will return to the College for four revision sessions each week until their respective VCAA examinations.
While we farewell our Year 12 students, we are also looking ahead to 2027. Subject selection is now complete, and the School Operations team is currently constructing the timetable. While the College aims to accommodate as many student preferences as possible, the complexities of timetable construction mean that we cannot always meet every request.
Nevertheless, this is an exciting time for our students as they increasingly take ownership of their learning pathways. The subjects they have selected represent an important step in shaping their future, allowing them to pursue areas that align with their interests, strengths and career aspirations.
I wish all students a fantastic holiday break and look forward to welcoming them back to school for Term 4. It is an exciting time of the year, with the weather warming up and the opportunity to spend more time outdoors becoming even more appealing. I hope our students take the opportunity to relax, recharge and enjoy the break before returning refreshed and ready for the final term of the school year.
